UK Cancer and Transition Service (UCATS) – service for the trans and non-binary community



What

Service providing support to the gender diverse community living with cancer. For trans and non-binary people, a cancer diagnosis may be difficult due to effects of cancer treatments on gender-affirming hormones and surgeries, hormone treatments on cancer growth and side effects of treatment on sexual function. The service offers appointments with specialists in cancer and gender-affirming care. They can also signpost to talking therapies, peer support and gender services. Who

Anyone identifying as trans, non-binary or gender diverse with cancer or a history of cancer, where they feel it interacts with their gender-affirming care. People can self-refer using a the self-referral form online. Healthcare professionals can also refer using the using the clinician referral form
